Tuesday’s General Election Saw Henry County Residents Making Their Votes Count & Their Voices Heard As 3 New Faces Rise To Represent Henry County!

The county had a total of 118,054 of the 171,905 registered voters participate. Board of Commissioners Chair June Wood and Clerk of Superior Court Barbara A. Harrison lost to their Democratic challengers.
- Wood earned 41.18% or 48,619 votes while Carlotta Harrell picked up 58.82% or 69,435 votes.
- Harrison earned 47,789 votes or 40.69% of the vote and Sabriya Hill took 59.31% or 69,655 votes.
- The county will also have a new sheriff. Sheriff Keith McBrayer announced in April 2019 that he would not seek a fourth term and intended to retire on Dec. 31, 2020.
- Democrat Reginald Scandrett won 71,803 votes or 60.31% of the ballots cast.
- Republican Jack Redlinger earned 39.69% or 47,246 votes.

Dee Clemmons For Another Term!
Dee Clemmons held on to her seat with 62.75% or 16,662 votes.
Challenger Republican Steve Richardson earned 37.25% or 9,893 votes.
From Oct. 12 to Oct. 30, 104,660 ballots were cast early.
